Experience Turin like an insider

City tours in Turin are a great way to see the city and learn about its history. The city is home to many historic buildings that are worth seeing. Take a tour of the historical city center of Turin with an insider's guide. See the city's main attractions such as the Mole Antonelliana and Piazza Castello. You'll also visit museums and cafes.

The sightseeing tour of Turin will take you around the city's sights in a double-decker bus. The top-deck vantage point allows you to enjoy panoramic views of the city while listening to informative commentary. You'll have the option of getting off at any of the city's top attractions, or you can opt for a shorter tour that allows you to see more sights in a shorter amount of time.

Turin

There's an open air market in Porta Palazzo, which is one of the biggest in Europe. You can also visit the Balon flea market on Saturday mornings. Don't miss the San Filippo Neri church, which is quite beautiful. It was built in 1675 but was restored by Juvarra after its dome collapsed. You can also visit the Palazzo Carpano, a building designed by Michelangelo.

If you'd like to get to know the city's past, consider taking a walking tour. Most of these tours cover the historic center and are available in English, French, and Italian. Most tours depart from the Tourist Information Centre every Saturday at 1000. Another option is to take a bus tour. City Sightseeing Torino offers a hop-on, hop-off tour of Turin that covers the major attractions. Three routes are available, each lasting 50 minutes or an hour and a half.

Piazza San Carlo

The square is surrounded by historic churches and elegant palaces. It is filled with Baroque architecture and the famous Equestrian Statue of Duke Edmondo Filiberto. Turin is also known for its delicious local cuisine. You may want to try out the local cuisine before heading to San Carlo.

You may also want to stroll through the Porta Palazzo market, Europe's largest outdoor market. Located in the center of the city, this market features countless stalls selling food, clothes, and other household items.

Piazza San Carlo

Piazza Castello

One of the best things to do in Turin is to walk around the Piazza Castello area. This pedestrianised area is home to some of the city's finest cafes, as well as the famous statue of Emanuele Filiberto. There is also a museum of ancient art, known as the Palazzo Madama.

Another of the best things to do in Turin is to take in the market. This large outdoor market has everything from clothing and home goods to art and souvenirs. You can browse through stalls for a unique souvenir or pick up a tasty lunch.

Museo Egizio

If you are interested in art, the Museo Egizio is one place you must visit. This museum is housed in a seventeenth century palace and has many pieces of artwork. Its collection is quite extensive, and includes art from different parts of the world. The museum also features some interactive exhibits and films.

There are many historic churches in Turin, and many of them are free. One of the most striking is the Chiesa della Gran Madre di Dio, which was constructed in 1498 as a mini-Pantheon to celebrate Vittorio Emanuele I's return. Quadrilatero Romano

The Quadrilatero district of Turin is a compact, urban neighborhood with many sidewalk cafes, shops, and restaurants. It borders the Royal Palace of Turin and the Museum of Eastern Art, which is housed in a 17th-century palace. The neighborhood is also home to the archaeological park of the Palatine Towers.

The Quadrilatero Romano, also known as the Roman Quarter, has many popular restaurants, wine bars, and hotels. Once a fort, this area has a grid layout of narrow streets and monuments from the Roman era. The area has two preserved polygonal towers with 16 sides each, as well as ruins of Roman walls.

La Mole

If you're interested in cinema, then a visit to the Mole Museum is a must. The museum features interactive 3D displays and a collection of iconic film objects. The museum is located in a former synagogue built between 1863 and 1889 by architect Alessandro Antonelli. It was later acquired by the local council and declared a national monument.
