Park Güell

Located in the north of Barcelona, Park Guell is a park built by Antoni Gaudi. This is an architectural masterpiece that is well worth a visit. The Park Guell features a maze of trails, walls, and bridges. There are also lookouts, a museum, and a park sized forest. It is a great place to spend the day or just an hour or two.

Park Güell Barcelona

There are three main entrances to the park. The Carrer d'Olot entrance is the most popular. The Park Guell also has a side entrance. A tour of the park may last about one hour and 30 minutes.

The main attraction is the monumental zone. This is the area that houses the majority of Gaudi's work. It contains the dragon stairway, the curved bench, and the market hall.

The other major attraction is the Gaudi museum. The museum, which is open from 10:00 AM to 18 PM, is housed on the second floor of the park. It includes pieces from Gaudi's bedroom, his office, and a hydraulic tile floor from his Casa Mila. There are also a few other attractions, including the famous Park Guell curved walkway.

The best time to visit Park Guell is when it is not packed with tourists. This is also when it is hottest. Wear comfortable shoes and bring along some snacks. You can also try to catch a glimpse of the sunset.

A guided tour of Park Guell is a great way to see the park and not worry about the crowds. A guided tour will also teach you about the lesser known parts of the park.
