Grand Canyon

Thousands of visitors are drawn to the Grand Canyon each year. The canyon has been carved by the Colorado River over six million years. The park's wide open spaces are filled with panoramic vistas and historic sites. The National Park Service Mobile App is a great resource for planning trips to the park. It's updated daily and can be downloaded for free.

The Grand Canyon

The park is divided into two main zones: South Rim and North Rim. The South Rim has a wide variety of facilities and accommodations, but the North Rim is less developed. It's also one of the least populated areas in the United States. The North Rim is only open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October.

If you're traveling to the Grand Canyon, you'll want to rent a car. There are numerous rental companies, including Discover Cars, AutoEurope and Sunny Cars. Make sure to check rental insurance.

The Grand Canyon National Park is located in northern Arizona. It's four and a half hours from Las Vegas, seven hours from Los Angeles, and three and a half hours from Phoenix. It's the perfect destination for an outdoor vacation. You can see wildlife and hike the canyon.

Grand Canyon

The main visitor center has exhibits, a 20-minute film about the park, and maps. There are also ranger programs for free throughout the day. You'll learn about the history of the area and geology.

You can also visit the Yavapai Geology Museum, which features exhibits and 3D displays. You can learn about the history of the area, the geology of the canyon, and other information.
