One day itinerary in Cusco

During your stay in Cusco, you will want to spend time in the area's best attractions. From the Plaza de Armas to the San Pedro market, you can experience the best of what Cusco has to offer. Whether you are looking for a souvenir to take home or just want to taste the local flavors, the market is a great way to do so.

You can easily reach the San Pedro market from the main square, which is about a 10-minute walk. There you can purchase fresh fruit and juices, as well as cheese and seafood. You can also buy Peruvian souvenirs, including clothing and jewelry. You can also find traditional artisan handicrafts.

Qorikancha

Another great place to visit is the Sacsayhuaman archaeological park. This site is one of the four archaeological sites in Cusco. Sacsayhuaman is an Inca site that is made of 300-ton stone blocks. It was once a fortress, and it served as a center of worship for the lightning god. The complex was also a place of relaxation for the Incan elite. It's an easy day trip from the city.

Sacsayhuaman is one of the best places to visit in Cusco, and one of the best places to visit in Peru. The site is free to visit, and there are several museum exhibits to choose from. You can also view mummified bodies and other pre-Inca relics. There's also a courtyard where native artisans weave textiles. You can learn about the Incas, the Spanish conquest, and other pre-Inca societies. You can also view art, including a reconstructed Inca village.

You can also spend time in the Cusco Regional History Museum, which offers a look at the city's past. This museum is also home to a restored painting by Spanish poet Garcilaso de la Vega. The museum has a variety of exhibits that cover the period before the Spanish conquest. You can also view the museum's collections, including the Christ of Cusco, which was given to Peru by the Palestinians after World War II.

Located just outside of the city, the Tambomachay temple is a large Inca ruin that was once a place of recreation for the Incan elite. The temple complex is a series of canals and aqueducts, and there are also waterfalls that are fed by natural springs. The site is open from 7:00 am until 5:30 pm daily.

Saqsaywaman

You can also visit the San Cristobal belfry, which offers panoramic views of the city. The tower is a steep climb, but the views are worth it. You can pay a few soles to go up, or you can get a bus up.

Finally, you can visit the Mercado Central de San Pedro, which is a traditional market in Cusco. You can find souvenirs and colorful textiles in the market. You can also find a number of restaurants and bars. You can also find a number of art workshops and other specialty stores in the area. If you are looking for something a little different, there are a number of vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the area.
