One day itinerary in Haifa

Despite the craziness of Haifa, there are a few good places to visit. A day trip to Haifa from Tel Aviv is a great way to see the city. Haifa is also close to Safed and Akko. If you want to explore more of Israel, Haifa is a good place to start. There are a number of day tours that originate from Haifa, so you can easily spend a day here and get to know the city.

One of the best places to visit in Haifa is the Baha'i Gardens. This is the city's most famous attraction. This is where you'll find the Baha'i Shrine, which contains the tomb of Mirza Al Mohammed, the apex of the Baha'i faith. There are also manicured gardens and peach walkways. You can also take a free guided tour of the gardens.

Baha'i Gardens

There are several art galleries and boutique shops in the market area. The area is also known for its street art and cafes. You can also visit the Haifa Museum of Art, which focuses on contemporary art. It's open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The area around the Baha'i Gardens is also home to the German Colony, which was founded in 1868. The colony was once part of the Templar cult. The colony is still a popular tourist destination. The colony has a long history, and is a must-visit during Christmas.

A cable-car runs from Bat Galim to the lower city. The cable-car runs between Bat Galim and Carmel area, and takes four minutes each direction. It's a great way to see the city and get to the top of Mount Carmel. There are also restaurants and cafes along the promenade.

There is also the Mount Carmel Terrace Gardens, which are an UN World Heritage Site. The terraces offer free tours of the gardens every day except Wednesday. The grounds also contain archeological sites, including an ancient aqueduct.

Bat Galim

A cable-car can also get you to Elijah's Cave, which is at the foot of Mount Carmel. Elijah is believed to have set up an altar here during the battle against the priests of Baal. The cave is also home to various religious sites. A guided tour is recommended, and can save you a lot of time.

Another great day trip from Haifa is to the Carmelite Monastery of St. Elijah. This monastery was founded in 1150, and is located on Mount Carmel. Its architecture is very impressive, and the view from the top is quite wonderful.

You can also visit the Educational Zoo, which is a zoo that features hundreds of exotic animals from around the world. The zoo also offers a Night Safari and Caretaker for a Day. There is also an organic winery, which is a great way to sample local wines. The Vortman Winery, which is just a short drive from the town, uses grapes grown in Mount Carmel's wine region.

Elijah's Cave

If you're looking for a relaxing vacation spot, you may want to consider staying at the Dan hotels. These hotels are situated on the cusp of Mount Carmel, and they are within easy walking distance of several of Haifa's most popular attractions.
